Your weekend guide
Adventures in Stavanger and beyond January 16 - 18. january
Hi,
I hope you had a lovely weekend in the snow. It is still be a while until I can be as active as I usually am. But after a lot of armchair adventures, I finally took a break from it and managed to get out for a short trip (as a passenger) to Jæren. Those hours did wonders for my soul. A quick stop at Kvassheim Lighthouse (see A good stop anytime) and a wonderful dinner at the new restaurant NIK (which I mentioned a few weeks ago and luckily we managed to get a table this time). Jæren landscapes and French food made with local ingredients. Not sure it can it get any better? Highly recommended as a Sunday outing <3
Thank you again, dear you, for reading this newsletter. It brings me so much joy to share everything that’s happening (even more so now that I can’t attend all the things like I want to) <3 Should you have any feedback for me, just hit reply (if you’re subscribed and reading this in your inbox).
On to this upcoming weekend. As always, the region has so much to offer! From bagpipes to rabbit shows, coffee championship, walks, and more. There is truly something for everyone. I hope your weekend is filled with new and wonderful memories.
If you’re reading this for the first time - welcome! This is my weekly newsletter, sent out every Wednesday (nyhetsbrev på norsk her). My philosophy in life: every place in the world has something exciting happening. I believe there is always something to experience, no matter where you are (in fact, I’m willing to bet I can find something for you no matter where in the world you are reading from*). Sometimes it is big events, other times small experiences that make a weekend memorable. Everything I pick out is something I am considering doing myself, with or without two small children.
These are my tips for things to do in Stavanger and beyond this weekend:
Heads up: often the pages are in Norwegian, but you can always use Google Translate to check them out.
