Your weekend guide
Adventures in Stavanger and beyond February 6th - 8th 2026
Hi,
This past weekend started with a manifestation coming through. I have longed for an opportunity to sit at a long table in someone’s backyard with new and old friends. Dinner at Syttiseks in Sandnes brought it. The man behind it, the location, the people and the incredible pizza were all magical. I am so inspired by dreamers who make things happen. So, if you get the chance to visit Syttiseks - go! (I will do my best to share any upcoming events).
I was talking to my dear friend about this newsletter and why I do it (aside from the fact that I have always LOVED to share anything I am excited about). I realized it is because I hope it can give you, dear reader, an even broader sense of community. There are fantastic people at every corner waiting to connect and bring you memories. And if I can help you find them, and vice versa, that brings me all the joy.
Lots of fun coming up this weekend. Can’t wait to hear what you end up doing. Remember, there are potential memories around every corner <3
If you’re reading this for the first time - welcome!
This is my weekly newsletter, sent out every Wednesday (nyhetsbrev på norsk her). My philosophy in life: every place in the world has something exciting happening. I believe there is always something to experience, no matter where you are (in fact, I’m willing to bet I can find something for you no matter where in the world you are reading from*). Sometimes it is big events, other times small experiences that make a weekend memorable. Everything I pick out is something I am considering doing myself, with or without two small children.
These are my tips for things to do in Stavanger and beyond this weekend:
Heads up: often the pages are in Norwegian, but you can always use Google Translate to check them out.

Protest beer tasting with protest songs: In Norwegian. Do I drink beer? No, not really. But when I do it would have to be to something like this. More info here.
Sunday

This week’s tips
Place I want to try: Tungenes fyr. A cultural lighthouse in Randaberg. OK, I may have been here, but I can’t remember when. I have been wanting to go to concerts here (usually on Thursdays) for a long time. And this weekend, their Sunday cafe has its season opening.
A good stop anytime: Wiig Gartneri. The world’s yummiest tomato award goes to this place. When not in Norway (and also while here haha), I crave the piccolo tomatoes. However, although closed for the season, the exciting news this time is that they have opened their own online shop (click and collect). So now you can shop directly from them, have a great scenic drive and enjoy all their goodies.
Hope you are inspired to try some of these things and that you have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for reading my newsletter. My goal is to send this out every Wednesday with my weekend tips (and occasionally weekday ones) for Stavanger and the surrounding area. If you’d like to get it straight to your inbox, hit “subscribe” and feel free to share it with a friend who might need some weekend inspiration.
* If you’re reading this from somewhere outside Stavanger, feel free to challenge me to find something for you :)
